Official Rules

1. Sponsor

This giveaway is sponsored and administered by Marriage Ministry, a private trust (the "Sponsor"). The Sponsor is solely responsible for all aspects of this giveaway.

Penguin Random House is not a sponsor of, administrator of, or participant in this giveaway in any way, and has no responsibility or liability in connection with it.

The Global Ambassador hotel is providing the accommodation, spa services, and dinner portions of the prize on a complimentary basis. The Global Ambassador is not a sponsor or administrator of this giveaway and has no responsibility or liability in connection with it.

2. Entry Period

The giveaway begins September 1, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends January 31, 2027 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the "Entry Period"). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. The Sponsor's computer is the official time-keeping device for this giveaway.

Bonus entry promotions may be offered during the Entry Period, in which case the terms of each will be stated at the time of the offer. Any current bonus entry promotion and its deadline are described on the giveaway page.

3. Eligibility

• Entrants must be legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia.
• Entrants and their partner must each be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Entrants must be part of a couple. Both members of the couple must meet all eligibility requirements. The prize is awarded to the couple jointly and must be redeemed by both members traveling together.
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members or household members of the Sponsor, The Global Ambassador, and their respective affiliates are not eligible.
• Void in Puerto Rico, all US territories and possessions, outside the United States, and wherever otherwise prohibited or restricted by law.

By entering, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.

4. How to Enter

Method 1: Preorder entry

Preorder a hardcover copy of Same Team from any qualifying retailer listed on the giveaway page during the Entry Period, then return to the giveaway page and submit the entry form with your first name, last name, email address, retailer, and order or receipt number. One entry per verified order.

Method 2: Free entry by mail, no purchase necessary

To enter without making a purchase, hand-print your full name, complete mailing address, email address, daytime telephone number, and date of birth on a plain 3" x 5" card and mail it in a hand-addressed envelope with proper postage to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by January 15, 2027 and received by January 31, 2027. Limit one (1) entry per outer envelope, and each entry must be mailed separately. Mechanically reproduced, photocopied, or printed entries will not be accepted. Illegible or incomplete cards will be disqualified. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, or undelivered mail.

Entries received by either method have an equal chance of winning. Purchase entries and mail-in entries are pooled together for a single drawing.

Limit one (1) entry per person per qualifying order or per mailed card. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or that the Sponsor cannot verify may be disqualified. Automated, robotic, programmed, or bulk entries are prohibited and will be void.

5. Prize

One (1) grand prize will be awarded to one (1) winning couple, consisting of:

• A two (2) night stay for two (2) people at The Global Ambassador hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, in a standard room, provided complimentary by the hotel. Approximate retail value: $1,900.00, based on a rate of $950.00 per night.
• One (1) sixty (60) minute couples massage for two (2) people, plus access to the hotel spa amenities, provided complimentary by the hotel. Approximate retail value: $520.00, based on a rate of $260.00 per person.
• One (1) dinner for two (2) people at Le Âme, the hotel's steakhouse restaurant, provided complimentary by the hotel, up to a maximum value of two hundred dollars ($200.00). Any amount above that maximum, and all alcoholic beverages, are the winner's responsibility.
• Round-trip economy class air travel for two (2) people from a standard commercial airport in the winner's state of residence to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), with a maximum combined value of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for both tickets.
• One (1) three hundred dollar ($300.00) Visa gift card, to be used at the winner's discretion.

Total approximate retail value of the prize is four thousand four hundred and twenty dollars ($4,420.00). The accommodation value stated above is based on a representative rate for May 2027. Rates vary by season, and the actual value of the accommodation and air travel portions may be higher or lower than the amounts stated. No difference between the stated and actual value will be awarded in any form.

The prize is awarded as-is, with no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, by the Sponsor.

6. What the Prize Does Not Include

The winner is solely responsible for all costs and expenses not expressly listed in Section 5, including but not limited to:

• Ground transportation of any kind, including rental cars, taxis, rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft, parking, and valet. These will not be provided or reimbursed.
• Checked baggage fees, seat selection fees, upgrade fees, and any other airline ancillary charges.
• All meals, food, and beverages other than the one dinner described in Section 5, and any portion of that dinner exceeding $200.00. The $300 gift card is provided for this purpose and is the full extent of the Sponsor's contribution toward additional meals.
• Alcoholic beverages at any point during the stay.
• Hotel incidentals, room service, minibar, additional spa treatments or services, resort fees where applicable, and gratuities.
• Any damage to the hotel room or property caused by the winner or their guest. The winner is solely responsible for such charges and will be required to provide a valid credit card at check-in for incidentals and damages.
• Travel insurance, passports or identification, immunizations, and any personal expenses of any kind.

The Sponsor will not reimburse the winner for any expense not expressly listed as included in Section 5, under any circumstances.

7. Travel Terms and Conditions

• All travel must be completed by December 31, 2027. The prize expires and is forfeited if travel is not completed by that date.
• Travel dates are subject to availability at The Global Ambassador and to the Sponsor's approval. Blackout dates may apply. The winner should expect to provide several alternative date preferences.
• The Sponsor's assistant will coordinate with the winner to select travel dates and will book both the flights and the hotel on the winner's behalf. The winner must provide full legal names exactly as they appear on government-issued identification, along with any other information required for booking.
• Once flights are booked, they are booked. The winner is solely responsible for any change fees, rebooking fees, fare differences, or cancellation penalties resulting from any request to change travel dates, times, routing, or passenger names after ticketing.
• The winner is responsible for arriving at the airport on time and for meeting all airline requirements. The Sponsor is not responsible for missed flights, delays, cancellations, weather events, mechanical issues, overbooking, or any other disruption caused by the airline, the hotel, or any third party, and will not provide replacement travel or compensation in such an event.
• Both members of the winning couple must travel together on the same itinerary. The prize cannot be split or used by the winner alone.
• The winner and their guest must present valid government-issued photo identification and a valid credit card at hotel check-in.
• The winner and their guest must comply with all hotel policies and airline conditions of carriage. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the remainder of the prize without compensation.

8. Drawing and Winner Notification

One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The drawing will be held on or about February 1, 2027 and will be conducted by the Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this giveaway.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The winner will be notified by email at the address provided at entry, and the result will be announced publicly during the first week of February 2027. The winner must respond to the notification within seven (7) days. If the winner does not respond within that period, cannot be reached, declines the prize, is found ineligible, or fails to sign and return any required documents, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random.

The winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and where lawful a publicity release before the prize is awarded.

9. Prize Conditions

• The prize is not transferable and may not be sold, auctioned, or assigned to any other person.
• No cash alternative or cash equivalent will be offered. No substitutions will be made except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize element of equal or greater value if an element becomes unavailable.
• The prize must be accepted as awarded, in full or not at all. Unused portions have no value and will not be exchanged.
• The prize is awarded to the couple jointly. The Sponsor will treat the person who submitted the entry as the primary winner for all purposes.

10. Taxes

All federal, state, and local tax determination and reporting on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Sponsor recommends the winner consult a tax professional where required.

11. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner's consent for the Sponsor to use their names, likenesses, photographs, voices, city and state of residence, and statements about the giveaway for advertising and promotional purposes in any media worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, or approval.

12. Privacy

Information collected at entry is used by the Sponsor to administer this giveaway and, where the entrant has consented, to send communications about Same Team and related offers. Information will not be sold. Entrants may unsubscribe from communications at any time. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, The Global Ambassador, and their respective trustees, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all liability, claims, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising out of participation in this giveaway or acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of the prize, including travel to and from any prize-related activity.

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or undeliverable entries or notifications; for technical failures of any kind; for unauthorized human intervention; or for any error in the administration of the giveaway or the processing of entries.

If for any reason the giveaway cannot be conducted as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor's control, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway and to select the winner from among eligible entries received prior to the action taken.

14. Disputes and Governing Law

This giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles. By entering, each entrant agrees that any dispute arising out of this giveaway shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Entrants waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages and any right to have damages multiplied.

15. Winner List

For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Same Team Giveaway Winner List, Marriage Ministry, 3317 S Higley Road, Ste 114-333, Gilbert, AZ 85297, to be received by March 31, 2027.
